We then go and pick rushes to our beautiful school site. On return to school, parents join us to make traditional Brigit’s crosses. A lovely welcome to the brighter days of spring. The following day is candlemas day. This is celebrated individually by different classrooms, bringing lighted candles outside to ‘plant’ our light in nature.</p>
