Summer Solstice/St. John’s Eve

This is the final festival of the school year. It is held on a suitable day between the summer solstice and the 23rd of June – St.John’s Eve.  The whole school community is invited to have a picnic together to celebrate the longest day of the year. Sixth class light a bonfire with torches they make themselves. We then share food and stories. When the bonfire has died down, we jump across the embers as a symbol of all the thresholds we have crossed during the year.
