In June, we open up our classrooms to incoming pupils. This offers parents and children an informal opportunity to meet teachers and their peers. It also gives children a chance to try a lesson with their new class/teacher. There is an opportunity for parents and the class teacher to ask any further questions they may have.
Mol an Óige Steiner National School is a state funded primary school. As a state funded school there are no tuition fees.
Parental fundraising is central to the provision of many of the Steiner aspects of the education.
High quality materials (e.g., tools and materials for handwork lessons; textbooks and copybooks; artist quality paper, crayons and pencils) are purchased by the school. Parents then reimburse the school when given the ‘booklist’ and breakdown of costs.
